References between structures, lines, geometric forms on the one hand and emotions on the other hand attract my attention. Topics such as the poetry and melancholy of everyday life, laughing despite this to exuberance can be found in my photographs. Dream and reality blur here. Yesterday and tomorrow in today interest me, the dirty corner rather, the polished surface less. I am looking for the aesthetics of the illusory and the apparent. My photographs are characterized by subjectivity and the moment, they do not strive for detailed or authentic depiction.
Sometimes I encounter constellations that radiate something remarkable beyond the moment. As soon as people play a role in these constellations, photography has to be done quickly and casually, almost imperceptibly, so as not to disturb or change the situation by one's own presence.
I am fascinated by the symbolism of things, by the stories they tell. I strive to capture what has been abandoned to disappearance, to snatch it from sinking into transience for a short time. Neither the "coming into" nor the "going out" of life can be stopped or reversed - I am attentive to what exists - if my photographs contribute to this view of the world, I would be happy.

Bezüge zwischen Strukturen, Linien, geometrischen Formen einerseits und Emotionen andererseits wecken meine Aufmerksamkeit. Themen wie die Poesie und die Melancholie des Alltags, das Trotzdem-Lachen bis hin zur Ausgelassenheit finden sich in meinen Fotografien. Traum und Wirklichkeit verschwimmen hier. Das Gestern und Morgen im Heute interessieren mich, die schmutzige Ecke eher, die polierte Oberfläche weniger. Die Ästhetik des Un-Schein- und des Scheinbaren suche ich. Meine Fotografien sind von Subjektivität und dem Moment geprägt, sie bemühen sich nicht um detailgetreue oder authentische Abbildung.
Immer wieder begegne ich Konstellationen, die über den Moment hinaus Bemerkenswertes ausstrahlen. Sobald Menschen in diesen Konstellationen eine Rolle spielen, muss Fotografie schnell und beiläufig, nahezu unmerklich erfolgen, um die Situation durch die eigene Anwesenheit nicht zu stören oder zu verändern.
Fasziniert bin ich hier von der Symbolik der Dinge, von den Geschichten, die sie erzählen. Bestrebt bin ich, dem Verschwinden Preisgegebenes festzuhalten, es dem Absinken in Vergänglichkeit noch für eine kurze Frist zu entreißen. Weder das „Kommen ins“ noch das „Gehen aus“ dem Leben ist aufzuhalten oder umzukehren – das Vorhandene achtsam be-achten – wenn meine Fotografien zu diesem Blick auf die Welt beitrügen, würde mich das freuen.
